The Peter Fegan designed Escape Hawk is a serious chopping tool designed with ergonomic comfort and optimal performance in mind. The offset handle adds comfort and enhanced performance being more compatible with human bio-mechanics. Full tang, 6 mm thick SK5 Carbon steel blade supports contoured and textured scales of fiberglass reinforced nylon for optimal durability.

Blade: The carbon steel head has a full length top swedge that tapers the upper point for balance and precision while the head is ground for optimal chopping performance for the compact size. The full tang construction add durability and the whole thing is finished with a durable, non-reflective and corrosion resistant desert tan powder coating. Versatility in non-chopping tasks is provided by the hammer pole end.

Handle: Robust FRN handles are highly durable and impervious to the elements making them a great choice for this emergency tool while still providing plenty of traction for utility use. Finger grooves and strategically placed jimping facilitate a number of grips from chopping tasks to fine work and the hollow pins used for securing the handles can also be used for lashing or lanyard attachment.

Sheath: Carries via a custom molded kydex sheath.

SK5 Carbon Tool Steel: Water hardening spring steel used in knives, other cutting instruments and tools. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
