After nearly two years in design and R&D Rick Hinderer and Hinderer Knives have released the Ranch Bowie into the wild! This classic Bowie knife design has been executed with modern aesthetics and materials including a super tough CPM-3V blade and 3D Contoured Canvas Micarta handle scales. The Ranch Bowie is a full-sized fixed blade that is built tough to handle any task you throw at it. This version comes with a stonewashed blade and Green Canvas Micarta handles.

Blade: The 3/16″ thick full tang blade is made from very tough CPM-3V tool steel. The traditional Bowie pattern sports a high saber grind and iconic top swedge clip. The upswept tip is fine enough for detail work and excellent for piercing while the saber grind delivers a good combination of durability and cutting performance. Jimping on the spine adds traction as well as a point of index when working in different grips. A heavy stonewash finish is fitting for this rugged field knife and hides wear well over time.

Handle & Sheath: Beefy, 3D Machined Green Canvas Micarta handles fill the hand in any grip and offer a secure and ergonomic handle without the need for aggressive traction. A “bird’s head” style pommel that allows for a secure “pinky” finger grip that enhances control and security in the hand. The handle is attached with sturdy flat head bolts that allow for easy removal of the scales for cleaning and maintenance. A generous hole is provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a premium, hand stitched, brown leather belt sheath.

CPM-3V: is a high carbon alloy steel that extremely tough and has enough chromium to have some corrosion resistance. However, care is required to prevent corrosion. The edge can be ground thin as it is tough enough to support a fine edge. 3V delivers the highest level of toughness while maintaining good edge retention.
