Spyderco Darn Dao Flash Batch Lum Design Fixed Blade FB41GP

Based on a highly limited design by custom knife maker Bob Lum and inspired by the classic broad sword of traditional Chinese martial arts, the Spyderco Darn Dao is being produced as a Flash Batch, a one-time only serial numbered limited edition production run. As well as being an elegant and functional design the Darn Dao is likely to be one of the most sought after and collectible Spyderco knives ever made!

The Blade: Made from thick CPM 154 the blade echos the shape of the Chinese broad sword with a wide, sweeping belly and long clip point. The blade is fully flat ground with a long, unsharpened swedge giving the knife a fine piercing point.

The Handle: A thick full tang construction helps to balance the large blade of the Darn Dao. Polished and contoured black G10 handle scales are attached with stainless steel pins and provide an integral double guard and flared pommel area for secure, high speed use. A stainless steel lanyard hole allows lanyard attachment for enhance security during use.

The Sheath: A top-quality, heavy chocolate leather sheath is made with an open back design and thumb-break style snap that provides secure carry and lightning fast deployment.

About CPM-154: CPM 154 (A.K.A. ATS-34 or RWL34) is a particle metallurgy version of 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process providing it with an increase in toughness and easy of finishing. CPM 154 takes a very fine edge and is highly corrosion resistant. Edge retention is going to be on-par with CPM S30V while being easier to resharpen. A great all-around blade steel.
