TOPS Knives Idaho Hunter Snake River Edition

The Blade: This big-bellied hunter is flat ground and together with it’s smooth new finish will make game processing a breeze. But it’s so much more than that. It’s piercing point should penetrate anything in its way. The 4.25 inch cutting edge will provide slicing ability beyond your wildest dreams. As previously mentioned, the Idaho Hunter comes in at .19 inches super thick so this is a worry-free worker right here. It features a forward choil and nice .75 inch thumb ramp for choking up on any detailed cutting tasks. The Black River Wash finish is absolutely stunning. Its gray to smoky black appearance is like none other. 

The Handle: The Idaho Hunter is a tough-as-nails full tang construction with integral guard for finger-protection. Above the steel handle, TOPS has perfectly primed white liners over which they’ve bolted thick, contoured black linen micarta scales. Micarta is a cloth-like material that offers texture dry or wet and really is the best choice for hard, outdoor use. This one has jimped spots on top and bottom along with a couple finger grooves for optimum control. The reverse grip is also outstanding on this knife should it be called upon. The tang extends past the handle scales which could come in handy for some light hammering. TOPS also cut a slot out of it for the option of adding cordage.

The Sheath: Included with this Snake River Edition is a molded black Kydex sheath with rotating spring steel clip for reliable carry. It’s tough and affords several carry options to the user.
